Moya Brennan - Christmas Tour Dates

An Irish Christmas, Across Ireland

There’s nobody better qualified to warm up the winter crowds and turn their thoughts towards the real story of Christmas than Ireland’s own Moya Brennan. As the voice, heart and soul of Clannad - and dubbed the First Lady of Irish Music - Moya’s forthcoming tour is an essential event in the Christmas calendar.

Having found success with ‘An Irish Christmas’ in 2005, Moya rediscovered the passion for old favourites and new messages. “I’ve been involved in number of other people’s Christmas projects in recent years,” explains Moya, “but I wanted to capture a truly Celtic Christmas feeling. It’s always important to bring the meaning of Christmas to the fore. It is the essence of what I believe in and the album offers both celebration and reflection on that familiar theme.”
The six dates across Ireland run between December 4th and 20th, with a further six German dates woven in throughout. Crowds can expect Moya’s classics with Clannad as well as recent material from her 2006 release ‘Signature’.

04 December: Limerick, St Mary's Church Rathkeale
07 December: Monaghan, Hotel Hillgrove
08 December: Roscommon, Donamon Castle
10 December: Carrick-On-Shannon, St Mary's Church
11 December: Monkstown Dublin, Monkstown Parish Church
20 December: Naul co. Dublin, Seamus Ennis Centre
Further dates for 2009 will be announced soon, including a UK tour in March.
